Summary

Service members interested in joining the Army Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAGC) may be eligible for the Army to cover the cost of law school using the Funded Legal Education Program (FLEP). Service members continue to serve on active duty and the Army covers the cost of tuition. This program is based on funding availability and limited up to a total of 25 commissioned and noncommissioned officers per fiscal year.

The deadline for the 2023 application period has ended. The 2024 FLEP application will be available online beginning July 1st and will close on October 1st.

Eligibility

Retired Soldiers are not eligible for the Funded Legal Education Program.
