Summary:

The VRAP Program Ended on March 31, 2014

Congress passed, and the President signed into law, the VOW to Hire Heroes Act of 2011. Included in this new law is the Veterans Retraining Assistance Program (VRAP). VRAP offered up to 12 months of training assistance to unemployed Veterans.

Students currently receiving VRAP benefits may verify their enrollment for March as usual through VA's Web Automated Verification of Enrollment or Interactive Voice Response on or after March 31. To verify attendance, visit https://www.gibill.va.gov/wave, call the automated verification line at 877-843-2378, or the customer service team at 888-442-4551 [7 a.m. - 7 p.m. (CDT)]. Students must notify School Certifying Officials and VA at 888-GI Bill-1 (888-442-4551) of any changes in enrollment that occur on or after April 1, 2014.

Eligibility:

Army Reserve Soldiers on Active Duty are not eligible for VRAP. To qualify for VRAP, a Veteran must be unemployed and have other than a dishonorable discharge.
