School Age Services (SAS) (Ages 6 - 12 years) provide before and after school programs, weekend activities during the school year, summer care, and camps during school vacations. Through partnerships with groups such as 4-H, CHARACTER COUNTS!, and Boys & Girls Clubs of America, installations help Children learn to work with their strengths, interests, and each other, to feel good about themselves, and to grow as individuals. Programs are offered in the core areas of leisure, recreation, and the arts; sport and fitness; life skills, citizenship and leadership; and mentoring and support services.
Authorized Family members of Army National Guard Soldiers on federal active duty (mobilized/deployed) are eligible for care at School Age Services only when the Service member is on active duty 30 days before and up to 90 days after.
School Age Centers are DoD Certified and National Accredited, by the National After-School Association (NAA), that before and after-school care during the school year for elementary grade youth (Ages 6 - 12 years). Care at School Age Centers bridge the gap between Child Development and Youth Programs and provide a caring and supervised atmosphere where Children enjoy directed and self-directed activities. Children have access to computer labs, homework centers, science programs, arts and crafts, team and individual sports, music programs and more.
Types of care include:
- Full-day: During school holidays, school vacations days, teacher-in-service days, and school closings.
- Part-day: Before and after school care.Seasonal: Programs are offered during spring and winters breaks and during the summer vacation. Full-Day care is available on non-school days.

CYS Services is committed to supporting the childcare needs of Army Families located on military installations or in areas where no military childcare is offered or is unavailable at installations due to high demand. CYS focus is to:
- Achieve and sustain QUALITY by pursuing nationally-recognized benchmarks and performance standard
- Increase and sustain AVAILABILITY through on- and off- post child care options and supervised programs for youth
- Maintain AFFORDABILITY for both Soldiers and the Army
